Designing a courtyard garden around a traditional set of antique doors that were presented to you at the initial on site consultation was an interesting challenge and one was we thoroughly enjoyed undertaking. As this wasn't the first garden, we had created for our wonderful clients we were entrusted to take full creative licence and the trust and respect of our processed and outcomes were gratefully reciprocated.

The antiques doors rightfully take centre stage and are positioned above a raised planter box boasting a buxus cloud garden with splashes of hellebores and liriopes for all year floral interest. The louvre roof structure offers flexible rain protection and light management to the east facing courtyard. The cantilevered I-beam steel arbors, infilled with recycled Harwood beams minimise posts and clutter within the space creating the sense that to roof cover floats over the space with the arbor lined side entrance provides a grand sense of entry to the highly used and valued courtyard.

With the client being a passionate stylist, her influence on this space cannot be ignored and was welcomed, respected and highly valued throughout the entire process with the results speaking for themselves.
