Operating Theatre Upgrade.

Delivering a high-performance operating theatre requires a level of coordination rarely seen outside complex healthcare environments.

This project involved the upgrade of Cathlab 3 within a major regional hospital, where advanced medical equipment, structural systems and specialist services needed to be carefully integrated within a tightly constrained space.

Every element of the design was resolved with precision. Radiation shielding, medical gas systems, ventilation and structural supports were coordinated to meet strict clinical and safety standards, while ensuring the theatre remained efficient and practical for day-to-day use. Working within an active hospital environment added another layer of complexity, requiring careful staging and close collaboration with consultants and stakeholders.

The completed theatre provides a highly specialised environment for cardiac procedures, supporting both clinical performance and patient care through a carefully considered and integrated design approach.
