Queenstown CBD Upgrades

This project was for Queenstown Lakes District Council and is an upgrade of the Queenstown Town Centre and Public Realm.
Designsource worked alongside LandLAB the Landscape Architects during the design process to source suitable granites, basalts and slates that were visually appropriate for the palette and perfectly robust for this unique environment.
Designsource have supplied 8000m2 granite pavers, basalt kerbs, slate cobbles, and stunning solid granite furniture. We have sourced GreyWackie bolders from Omarama which are presently being shaped and honed by Timaru Bluestone Industries for feature rocks which will become beautiful sculptural pieces for the landscape.
The main contractor being Fulton Hogan/Downer Alliance.
The Stone is being installed by Landscape Construction Company Ltd from Christchurch.
