Temple view is one of New Zealand's biggest temple complexes. The breadth and depth of this project was amazing. With guidance from the USA the design for all the buildings of the complex had tight parameters and requirements. This project was a sample of the work done to date, essentially to capture not only the progress but the spirit of the buildings, almost the feel of being there. A set of images for use for the architectural team, and for the church themselves.

This was a multi day project, from a brief and scout day, to choose the best angles and highlight what was important to show, to choosing the best time of day for each building, but also certain parts of the buildings. I really enjoyed the challenge of this project., I found that as I shot over the period of the project, I discovered more and more beauty of the work. It was a joy to shoot it.

Walker Group Archi were delighted with the results. As part of a large ongoing project the images proved a valuable tool for both the client and the architectural team.

About the
Professional

Welcome to the Chris Hillock Photographer Archipro site. I am a specialist in architecture, landscapes, commercial, corporate stills and video production. Deeply passionate about storytelling, I enjoy working with dedicated architects to capture their amazing stories and projects, connecting them with their audiences.

With 11 years as an NZDF photographer, travelling internationally, 6 years as a staff photographer for Fairfax Media (Qantas Junior Photographer of the Year 2011 - Best Single Pic), and now an established photographer and video producer for the last 8 years, based in the Waikato.

Often travelling both nationally and internationally for projects, I have a wide range of experience to bring to any project. I enjoy the rush of capturing the perfect shot or the interesting story, it keeps me coming back project after project and year after year.

My clients include Gartshore, Architecture Bureau, Arto, Diary NZ, Rabobank, MPI, Department of Conservation, Kiwiharvest, Master Builders Waikato, Wintec, University of Waikato, and many more.

Storytelling has been a driving force for me for many years now. The power of documentary films has been amazing, giving detail and depth to the vision brought to projects. There’s nothing as enjoyable as creating a film or a series of shots that express a message, or an emotion, enabling a connection between an audience and a project.

The key to any successful marketing campaign is connecting with your audience with a genuine, honest, and passionate story. People connect with people, and those connections help make great relationships. Using my years of visual journalism experience I am to create engaging images and stories that make an impact, helping you tell the story of your project and your business with stills and branding videos.

My team and I create visual materials in a variety of formats for NZIA Awards, Project showcases, Corporate Branding, Print marketing, and online marketing.

Our favourite projects explore the vision, process and ethos behind projects that have an impact, helping you connect with clients looking for a professional that understands them.
