It's been five years and more than $100 million in the making, but Capital & Coast District Health Board finally has the keys to its new children's hospital.
The new child health service will be named, Te Wao Nui a Tāne, which translates to the great forest, and reflects the ecosystem of health services designed for tamariki, rangatahi and whānau of central New Zealand.
We at Craftbuilt were privileged to make the feature staircase made from oak in the shape of a tree!
A 7.3 m tall feature tree staircase was started back in July 2021 has now sprung into life! The brand new Wellington Children's Hospital is now only months away from being open.
