This project in Forest Lodge Sydney is starting to come together. This very detailed and carefully resolved contemporary heritage renovation project will be completed in November. The starting point was to retain as much as possible of the existing terrace by simply adding some key elements. This creates the additional space required and allows the house to connect to the site and aspect. It also allows the house to breathe and admit light to the interior spaces. It required an inside-out approach and while it is not a radical intervention in terms of form the alteration adds a new modern dimension to the way the house will perform and be lived in. This project is heading for a November completion.
