These silky-soft carpets provide an opulent footing for a celestial sartorial adventure

Australian-born and bred fashion house Zimmermann looked to the stars for inspiration for their Fall 2022 ready-to-wear collection, creating an astrological collection that focuses on the zodiac. Equally as important as looking above was considering what was underfoot; with the Fyber Envy carpets crucial in setting the celestial scene.

Serving as a device in interior storytelling, the Fyber Envy carpets complemented the vibrantly layered Zimmermann collection. With the runway spanning multiple zones, Envy was the sole carpet of choice for each space.

Available in 40 colours, shades such as Blush, Lipstick and Bloom enhanced the dramatism of the show, while neutral hues such as Sand and Latte served as a neutral moment of respite. Selected to match the colours on the walls, each carpet grounded its respective location in a distinct colour, creating visual interplay as it caught the strong artificial light.

Proving durability needn’t come at the cost of comfort, the Envy collection is crafted using an extra-high density gauge weaving process with engineered SilkNV fibres. Conceived through research undertaken by Fyber founder David Raines, SilkNV technology results in fibres that possess the same glossy, luxurious quality as silk but are miles ahead in terms of durability. 

Non-shedding and stain-resistant, the silky-soft Envy carpets are well suited to heavy domestic and medium commercial traffic levels, far exceeding requirements for use on the Zimmermann runway. A synthetic jute backing ensures each Envy carpet will stand the test of time.

Lending itself to both residential and commercial interiors, the Envy collection adds functionality to spaces while imbuing them with a distinctly elegant charm. With a pearlescent sheen, each striking shade within the Envy collection creates a dialogue with the light, making for a unique look in any room. Various shades of the Envy collection are used in The Collectionist Hotel, with each vividly hued carpet contributing to the visual richness of the space and complementing the work of Pattern Studio, The World is Round and Willis Sheargold.
