Its TIDA Australia Awards time – and our Blue Ivy House kitchen has won a High Commendation!! We congratulate all winners – and we are definitely in some good company! This is McMahon and Nerlich's 7th TIDA High Commendation Award and our first award for Blue Ivy House. Blue Ivy House kitchen combines sleek integrated hardware and a concealed pantry – a great trick where space is at a premium – gorgeous blue-grey veined marble, timber detailing and midnight blue cabinets to create a unique kitchen-dining design. It’s a refreshing break from the timber veneers, blacks and metallics that are so dominating the architectural & interior kitchen landscape at the moment.

See our Highly Commended entry here; and see the announcement of the awards here. We also belatedly announce our TIDA win for two High Commendations in the TIDA Australia Architect-Designed Homes a few months ago!. Our Jigsaw house – see it here – and frame terrace – see it here – both won High Commendations at the end of last year which is an incredible result. The TIDA awards – Trends International Design Awards Australia – have been a wonderful supporter of McMahon and Nerlich since our first award in 2014 for Skin-Box House. The TIDA Awards provide a great opportunity for young architecture practices to gain experience and recognition in a well regarded global awards program – competing against very experienced practices in an open competition which is a step removed from the constraints within the industry awards.
