Joinery Spotlight: Smoked Veneers

Within our Querkus timber veneer range, two smoked options are available:
- Smoked Robusta – a darker, more intense smoke, producing deep brown to near-black tones.
- Smoked Arabica – a warmer, lighter smoke with softer brown shades and golden undertones.
Both are produced in a planked mixmatch layout using quarter and crown cut, emulating the look of solid oak boards.
For furniture and cabinetry, double-sided panels are available in a 3050 x 1220mm size, ensuring a refined finish on both sides. For curved work, Querkus can also be supplied as a 3050 x 1220 x 0.6mm flexible sheet. The surface is supplied unfinished, giving complete freedom to oil, lacquer, or stain to achieve the desired result.

Smoked Querkus timber veneers are FSC® certified and stocked in New Zealand with short lead times, providing a sustainable and reliable option for projects where depth of tone and natural variation are key.
