Firth has put their complete range of retaining blocks in a brand new easy to follow brochure covering options for the DIYer (for small raised gardens and planters) through to Engineers requiring retaining for bridge abutments* – you name it, we have a retaining option to suit!

Firth’s NEW Retaining Wall Brochure features our full range of retaining wall systems - including the Keystone Compac® III (available north of Taupo only).

The new high performing, versatile Keystone Compac® III segmental retaining wall system is now available from Firth for larger retaining wall requirements. (Available from Taupo north only.)

Trusted by architects, engineers and contractors around the world, the Keystone Compac® III unit utilises the proven Keystone pin connection system and is the most widely recognised segmental retaining wall product in the world.

“We have had the Keystone Compac® IV system in our range for some time and are happy to now also introduce the Keystone Compac® III Straight Face block which gives customers more options aesthetically and structurally,” explains Stuart Girvan, Technical & Specification Advisor (Masonry) for Firth. “Traditionally straight faced blocks can’t be used for curved walls but our new Keystone Compac® III is designed to be laid in straight lines and also has the ability to curve – giving designers so many more options.”

“Compac® III is also approximately 10% lighter than the Compac® IV which makes it much easy to handle and we have also positioned the blocks the right way up on the pallet to assist our installers which, after lifting a few you will know, is a huge help,” adds Stu.

Key points:

  • A decreased unit weight makes installation easier while still maintaining structural integrity
  • Allows for engineered walls in excess of 18.2m
  • Increases vertical drainage through face units
  • New unit shape allows for radius curves and vertical core alignment
  • Kidney shaped pin receiving hole allows for installer-friendly construction adjustments
  • Near vertical or battered setback construction options
  • Split Face texture appearance
  • Capping and corner units available
  • Unit Dimensions: 200mm x 457mm x 305mm
  • Unit Weight: 32 kg
  • Units/m2: 11
  • Pin Specifications: Fibreglass Alignment Pins (13 x 133mm)
