In 1957 Niko Kralj embarked on a six-month advanced study training programme in Sweden. While there he immersed himself in Scandinavian design culture and worked in Olaf Pirs design bureau. Three years later Kralj launched the now iconic 1960 Chair. This iteration of the 1960 chair features a minimalist metal frame and aligns with Kraljs earlier utilitarian work like the 1956 designed Shell chair. An elegant curved plywood seat gives the chair a simple yet comfortable form that defines this iconic offering.
