Each base can be custom manufactured up to 2400mm x 1200mm, allowing dimensions, configurations and outlet positioning to be tailored to individual project requirements while supporting installation in accordance with AS 3740 and applicable project requirements.

Larger Bases

Projects requiring dimensions beyond our standard manufacturing parameters are not necessarily limited to 2400mm x 1200mm. Our team can work directly with architects, specifiers, builders and project teams to assess the application and explore a suitable solution.

Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we provide project-specific technical and manufacturing guidance to determine the most appropriate solution while considering design intent, fabrication requirements, installation and compliance.

Formed Solid Surface Shower Bases are custom manufactured with a range of lip configurations to accommodate different wall, shower screen and entry conditions.

Wall lips, shower screen lips, partial lips and lipless edges can be nominated independently on each side of the shower base, allowing the configuration to be tailored to the architectural design and intended installation method.

Initial quotations are indicative of the nominated base configuration. Prior to manufacture, a detailed custom order form is provided to confirm all critical dimensions and specifications, including base dimensions, lip locations, lip configurations and outlet positioning.

Where specified, Formed lip profiles add approximately 10mm to the overall height of the shower base and are designed to facilitate integration with adjoining wall finishes, shower screens and other wet-area construction details.

Partial Lip Profile:
Lip profiles can be manufactured along only a nominated portion of an edge, providing additional flexibility for open-entry and project-specific shower configurations. For example, a 1000mm side may incorporate a 500mm wall lip, with the remaining 500mm manufactured without a lip. Partial lip dimensions and positioning are nominated as part of the custom order specification.

Custom Lip Profile:
Where standard lip profiles do not suit the project, customised dimensions and configurations may be available. Formed can work directly with architects, specifiers, builders and installers to assess taller, wider or alternative lip requirements and develop a project-specific manufacturing solution.

Shower Lip Profile:
The Formed Shower Lip features a 10mm high x 35mm wide profile and is designed to provide a defined location for shower screen or bracket installation. Its low-profile design maintains a clean, streamlined appearance while providing a consistent surface for integration with the specified shower screen system.

Wall Lip Profile:
The Formed Wall Lip is designed to integrate the shower base with the adjoining wall construction and finished tiled surface. The profile incorporates a 10mm external upstand, with an internal 25mm-wide section providing a defined interface for the adjoining wall and tile assembly. Wall construction, waterproofing and finishes should be detailed in conjunction with the Formed installation requirements and applicable project requirements.

No Lip Profile:
A lipless edge provides a clean, uninterrupted transition at nominated sides of the shower base and is particularly suited to contemporary open-entry shower designs. The shower base retains its preformed fall toward the waste, while the surrounding construction, waterproofing, shower screen arrangement and water-containment requirements must be appropriately detailed for the specific installation.

Project-Specific Configuration:
Different lip profiles can be combined on the same shower base. For example, a base may incorporate wall lips to two sides, a shower screen lip to another and a lipless entry edge. This flexibility allows each shower base to be manufactured around the specific requirements of the bathroom rather than requiring the project to conform to a predetermined configuration.
