A delicate porcelain like finish with fine ‘crazing’ and a pearly lustre. Through its Bony White colour, the more pronounced ‘distressed’ areas of the have a translucent appearance that seem to be soft to the touch.

With its delicate make up, Bone China polished plaster lends itself to low use decorative areas such as ceilings and wall panels. This finish is not suitable for use in kitchens and bathrooms.

Specifications

A decorative style plaster finish with a pearly lustre and crazing effect.

  • Thickness - 1-1.5 mm
  • Texture - porcelain like, distressed crazing
  • Polish - high
  • Colour - only available in ‘Bony White’
  • Suitable substrates - plasterboard/blockwork/plywood and MDF prepared to a level 4 paint finish

Can be applied to ceilings, walls, and cabinetry but cannot be used in bathrooms or interior spaces where water is present affecting humidity. The surface is always sealed with a special sealer, but the crazing remains “open” and therefore is highly permeable.

Scope of use

Bone China is a specialist surface finish suitable for the coating of all absorbent and prepared indoor surfaces such as plasterboard, concrete, brickwork, block work or bonding plaster that are not in direct contact with water.
