Security options

Luxaflex® Aluminium Shutters have four security options to select from: Flush Bolt, Security Bolt, Lockable Metal Handle and Blade Stay, so both your design and safety needs are met. Refer to page 19 for security options.

Easy to clean

Luxaflex® Aluminium Shutters are durable and easy to clean. To clean and maintain your shutters, simply wipe them with a non-abrasive sponge or cloth and warm, soapy water.

Blade sizes to fit any space

Our Luxaflex® Aluminium Shutters come in three different blade sizes allowing you to find the perfect fit for every space. For areas you want to maximise on views our large 114mm blades work best and where you want increased privacy go for a smaller blade size. Refer to page 18 for blade options.

Standard Hardware Colour Options

Choose from are four standard powder coat finishes along with four timber wraps which offer the look of the traditional timber shutter, with the durability of aluminium. Custom colour finishes are applied as a powdercoat. Blade end caps will be colour-matched to the custom colour selected.

Security Features

Flush bolt

The flush bolt option is available with Hinged in Frame, Hinged no Frame and Multi-Fold (bottom only) installations.

Lockable metal handle

When a handle is ordered with an 89mm or 114mm blade, its default position will be adjacent to the mid-rail so the handle will clear the blade protrusion. 

Security bolt

The security bolt of Luxaflex® Aluminium Shutters is stainless steel and is placed at the top or bottom of the selected panel(s) stile on the opposite side of the hinges. Available in Hinged in Frame and Hinged No Frame installations.

Blade stay

Elegantly incorporated into the blade, the blade stay allows you to position the blade into a fixed open or closed position. This function prevents the wind from blowing the shutter closed.

Application Styles

Hinged options

If you’re after the classic shutter look, chances are this application style is what you’re after and will provide the flexibility needed for most installations. Luxaflex® Aluminium Shutters can either be direct hinged or hinged with frames.

Multifold

When you don’t want to compromise on the view, but want the option of privacy and weather control, the multifold may be the option for you. The most flexible of all the installation types, the multifold, acts as a bi-fold, folding back on it’s self away from the opening when a non obstructed view is required. With the option of being either recess fit or face mounted.

Sliding

If you’re looking for an option to work over existing sliding doors or you’re wanting to enclose a balcony or other outdoor living space, sliding shutters are a great option. Winning points for operation, the sliding shutter is easy to use but they can however, never be fully removed from the view, unlike the Multifold.

Fixed in panel

Where little adaptability is needed Luxaflex® Aluminium Shutter panels can be fixed directly to a home or structure to remain stationary giving solitude to homeowners. Ultimate flexibility is still provided through control of their blades which remain movable allowing weather and light control.
