Thoughts from the artist: As I made the Mānuka Dreaming series of works, digitally weaving imagery from a number of mānuka trees in various local sites I encountered on daily walks, I was thinking about care for the environment, celebrating small acts, and optimism.

Since relocating from Scotland to Aotearoa decades ago, mānuka is a plant that somehow has always held significance for me. I’ve admired its resilience as a scrub-type plant in coastal areas, it being one of first plants to regenerate on cleared land. Mānuka can be an important tool to reestablish bare, eroded slopes, creating shade and shelter for other, slower growing native plants.

Artfull.co.nz is the premier online-first curated platform to discover and buy original works directly from emerging and established artists and makers across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Founded in 2022 by Jessica Agoston Cleary, an experienced curator, writer and public art manager, and John Barnett luminary film producer, business entrepreneur and passionate art collector, Artfull bridges the gap between the artist and the collector through the power of technology.

Artfull's ethos and mission is present the depth and breadth of incredible visual art by artists you know, and introduce you to many you don't. In bringing art on-line, Artfull seeks to demystify art and support collectors to build collections that reflect who they are.

Our services extend art consulting within both residential and commercial contexts, full collection curating and acquisition, facilitation of artist studio visits, and online 'art collecting 101' sessions either one-on-one or in groups.

At ArchiPro we recognise and acknowledge the existing, original and ancient connection Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have to the lands and waterways across the Australian continent. We pay our respects to the elders past and present. We commit to working together to build a prosperous and inclusive Australia.
