Barricade WD is a self-adhesive, weather-resistive barrier that may be used over a variety of rigid substrates or underlays on both residential and commercial buildings.
It is manufactured by thermally bonding outer spun-bonded layers to an inner layer of microporous polypropylene film, coated with pressure-sensitive advanced poly acrylic adhesive offering superior adhesion to a variety of typical materials.
Barricade WD is designed to shed water, yet freely pass water vapour. It will block the movement of air and cover all fixings and joints in the underlying substrate.
Barricade WD may be applied over many common construction rigid substrates. Once exterior elements such as the roof , soffit lining, joinery have been installed, and the rigid underlay has been covered with Barricade WD, then interior works can carry on inside without the cladding being in place for up to 5 months. Interior and exterior trades can work in parallel to speed up programmes.
Masons Barricade WD contributes to the building moisture management design. It provides a substantial secondary defense against intrusion of moisture and air for the life of the building.
* Maximum MC % requirements of the bottom plate must meet.
UV & weather protection -Ā pre-cladding - for up to 150 days
Barricade WD is designed to be applied over clean dry sound building substrates such as Masons Weather Defense fibre cement board, to provide a high air, water and UV resistant wall underlay or weather resistive barrier that also passes water vapour effectively.
Store in a dry cool place. Keep plastic wrapper intact and rolled up until use. Do not bend or stack products on top of rolls.
Please dispose of the peel-off backing film and underlay off-cuts responsibly. Do not burn.
