Prime Stone is a range of low-silica composite stone made from a blend of recycled glass, glass sand and natural quartz.
In April 2024 the entire range was relaunched with stunning nine new designs added and more on their way for the middle of the year. Existing best-sellers from the previous engineered stone range have now been remade as a low silica composite stone.
Unlike engineered stone, Prime Stone composite stone has silica levels comparable to granite with most designs under 30% and a small handful under 40%. The composite stone range has Declare accreditation making them suitable for Living Building Challenge projects.
The jumbo 3200 x 1600 mm slab offers efficient cutting making it easier to achieve a benchtop and return out of one piece. Digital Print technology on some of the new designs offers new creative potential with incredible clarity and likeness to the more expensive marble and granite options. Note these designs are only available in 20mm.
Mirror slabs are also available for most large format designs, making it easier to achieve an attractive right-angle join either vertically or horizontally where the veining can be matched up.
