How do you hang curtains with brackets?

Curtain brackets are installed with screwdrivers, above the window. Curtains should then be placed on the rods. Once on the rod, the rod can be placed onto the brackets, with the curtains in place.

How many curtain brackets do I need?

Most windows will require three curtain brackets; one on each end of the window and one in the middle. However, if the window is very long you should consider adding one or two more, for stability.

How far apart should curtain brackets be?

As a general rule in Australia, most people place curtain brackets just less than a metre apart. If the curtain you are intending on hanging is very heavy, you can put the brackets closer together.

Where should brackets go when hanging curtains?

Brackets should be placed just above or on the window frame. They should be placed around 10 cm away from the edge of the window so that the opened curtain has room to sit. If you want to make your window appear larger, you can place the brackets further away from the edge of the window.
