Design & Consult

The initial phase is design and consult.

During this stage a consultant from Acacia Pools, along with an architect will meet with you on-site to discuss your needs.

A obligation-free quotation will be prepared for you outlining each phase of the project and its associated costs.

Building Consent

Next an application for building consent is lodged with your local council. The average length of time for consent to be approved is 28 days, however this is dependent on the council concerned and all are different.

Excavation

Once your design has been confirmed excavation will commence on-site. This process usually takes somewhere between 1 – 3 days to complete depending on the size of your pool.

Build

Our team come in and fine tune the diggings, tie reinforcing steel as per engineers plan, pour the concrete floor, then lay blocks to form steps, walls etc as per plan and fit the hydrostatic valve in the floor.

Concrete swimming pools are built to last, highly durable and can be made to almost any shape. Concrete's workability, strength, permanence, and flexibility of design make it ideal for innovative and interesting in-ground and hillside swimming pools.

Concrete block pools :Our team come in and fine tune the diggings, tie reinforcing steel as per engineers plan, pour the concrete floor, then lay blocks to form steps, walls etc as per plan and fit the hydrostatic valve in the floor. As the walls go up, openings must be left for plumbing and underwater lights.

Filtration Equipment

Installation of all of the systems that control your pool

Lights There are two main lighting styles available for concrete pool installations:

• Surface Mounted Lights which are installed on the side of the pool wall.
• Flush Mounted Lights (also known as a niche) which are installed inside the pool wall and expose only the face plate of the light.

Lights are used to enhance a pool and mood at night

Finish

Finishing Tiles or Quartzon Applied: Application of the Quartzon finish takes 1 day with an additional day to acid wash and expose the colour.

Tiling of your pool will depend on the pool and tile size.

Acid Wash: An acid wash process is then applied the following day to the inside finish of the pool to expose the quartz colour of the Quartzon surface.

Pool Filled: The pool is then filled with water (from your water supply) and takes around 24 – 48 hours dependig on the water source and pressure.

Water Balance Levels Established: Our team then work to balance the water in your pool to ensure the correct levels are achieved.

Start Up & Handover

Start Up: Our team start and check the pool’s filtration, heating and cleaning systems.

Care Instruction: You will be given detailed instructions on the care and maintenance of your pool
Handover: Your pool is offically handed over to you indicating the completion of the project.
