Our dedication to environmental responsibility is underscored with continued measurement & recognition from product certifications such as ‘Global Greentag’ and ‘Works with WELL,’ and the augmentation of our Management Systems, adding Environmental Management System (EMS) ISO 14001 and Occupational Health and Safety System (OHSMS) ISO 45001, to our existing Quality Management System (QMS), ISO 9001.

Energy-Saving

Waste Reduction

Certification for Sustainability

The Global GreenTag certification is highly coveted by global manufacturing businesses for its evidence-based approach to sustainable product certification. Since 2012, Merquip has been certified and re-certified by Global GreenTag at the Gold Level of the LCARate Program, and we hold an Environmental Product Declaration under EPD EN 15804. This program is recognised by Greenstar® Australia and New Zealand, NZ Homestar®, LEED®, BREEAM®, IS® Rating, and WELL® features

Billi uses Natural Gas refrigerant (R290), which has no ozone depletion potential (ODP) and a negligible direct global warming potential (GWP). R290 has a GWP of below five, according to the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. In addition, R290 exhibits exceptional thermodynamic characteristics, enhancing heat transfer efficiency and expediting cooling processes. With outstanding heat transfer capabilities, R290-powered systems demand less energy for temperature control, thus diminishing energy usage and reducing utility expenses.

Sustainable Technologies

Our dual technology combines the energy efficiency and heat transfer benefits of water cooling with the water-efficient heat exchange technology. Water, being a more effective conductor of heat than air, ensures that our systems run at consistent and efficient operating temperatures, saving on energy costs and reducing the carbon footprint.

Furthermore, our water-cooled systems do not require any fans, cross ventilation, clearance tolerances, or joinery cut-outs to keep the system cool. Our heat exchange technology repurposes waste heat within the system to generate usable heating energy, contributing to Billi’s Net-Zero and Sustainable Development Goals.
