Blackbird Projects

Build

Headed up by Trent Towersey, the Blackbird Build team has proven experience across a wide range of complex projects – from renovations to brand new residential builds and everything in between.

Trent is a fully licenced building practitioner with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry. Over that time he has not only developed an outstanding knowledge of design and construction but gained the respect of the building community for his consistent ability to take a project successfully from concept to completion. As a great leader and mentor, Trent currently has five skilled apprentices honing their skills under him.

Each Blackbird job is assigned a project manager who oversees all aspects of the build with the utmost care. And, because Blackbird is a full-service offering, members of the wider team can be brought in at any time to offer complementary skills such as painting and landscaping. For clients, this means more efficiency, less hassle, top quality workmanship and a team who see the big picture and get the job done to the highest standard.

Blackbird’s head painter, Bashir, has a reputation in the industry as the very best in Auckland – and we’d have to agree.

An absolute perfectionist, Bashir has worked on some of the city’s highest-end jobs. His philosophy is to always do the very best job you can, and his team certainly live to that mantra. They’re hardworking, won’t cut corners and will deliver a level of finish you simply won’t see anywhere else. On top of that, they’re respectful and tidy, treating every home like it’s their own.

Originally from Burundi, Bashir has lived in New Zealand with his family for 12 years. He’s not only a fully qualified painter, but is recognised as a Resene Eco Decorator – an exclusive nationwide network of environmentally responsible, quality focused painters.
