About us

Visit site

We create carefully considered and honest environments embracing the inner and outer capacity of architecture and interior design in equal measure.

We offer personal, flexible, and collaborative design.

We create spaces that enrich and elevate the experience of daily life

Practise

At By Mysa, we see architecture and interior design as more than just a built form-it is a unified expression of how live, interact and engage in space. We strive to craft environments that spark delight and enjoyment, where site context, architectural form and interior design detailing are considered in equal measure as a holistic design solution. We are a dynamic design practice that embodies and epitomises this sentiment through honest and meaningful design outcomes.

Our overarching design philosophy is inspired by the Swedish word ‘mysa’, meaning to be cosy and content. ‘Mysa’ is to be relaxed with loved ones, taking time for oneself, basking in the sun, or sitting gin front of a fire on a cold winter day. A simple moment captured in time that enriches the humanex perience, with the celebration of daily life at its core.

We celebrate the unique personalities and objectives of each client and project, whilst ensuring our rocess is underpinned by ethical, functional and thoughtfully crafted design outcomes

Our People

Lachlan Dettmer

Architecture to Lachlan revolves around the context of each site and how an expression of design can provide an opportunity to not only better its surroundings but provide a moment, a view, or feeling that encompasses something unique.
