David Thornton joins the practice as our newest equity Director of New Zealand, David is charged with realising a new vision for Cottee Parker as an international practice. With over 25 years in the architectural field, David is equally renowned for his master-planning and design skill as he is for his down-to-earth nature and commercial acumen.

David’s hallmark is leading mixed use, retail, commercial and residential projects, developing retail strategy, and master-planning outcomes that have been the catalyst for bringing international brands to New Zealand’s shores. As a former managing principal of a global architecture practice, he is equally fit to grow our presence and inevitable success in the New Zealand market.

Edward Hosken has strong conceptual design skills across a wide range of sectors, Ed has an adept ability to balance design excellence with commercial viability. As an engaging leader at CPA, Ed seeks to bring an exceptional team morale with collaborators, clients, and stakeholders.

Having first started his career in the delivery of complex projects, Ed has a sound understanding of navigating a wide ranging audience and how buildings and places are put together.

Today, Ed’s industry hallmark is leading masterplan and typology driven multi-residential projects. A strong narrative always resonates within his work to great designs that celebrate their function, are memorable and endure the test of time creating a positive contribution to their context and community.
