EF Construction is a reputable building company founded in 2012 by Dean Ellis, a skilled Director and Carpenter, who leads the business alongside his wife Ashley.
As a small family-owned business, we take pride in offering a personalised service to our clients while upholding a high standard of workmanship. We are proud members of the Certified Builders Association of New Zealand, ensuring that our team consists of trade-qualified builders who are committed to excellence.

Our Story
Ellis Family Construction (EF Construction) was formed in 2012, in the middle of renovating our first family home and having our first child. One of our very first projects was a high end hair salon, based on Lampton Quay - Jean Jaques, along with many other successful projects during this time.
We continued to grow and form a strong name within the building industry. Our passion for innovation, detail and customer service is the core of our business. Keeping quality at the fore front has given us the opportunity to work along side a number of high end clients, developers and designers throughout the wider Wellington region.
We love the end of the build process, when we get to hand over the keys to the happy client's and their families.
Our Services
Design & New Builds:
At EF Construction we deliver exceptional experience and capability throughout the full design and build process. All our homes and renovations are designed to meet your personal requirements.
We design and build a wide range of homes, from easy living single level homes through to large
multi-level homes.
Most importantly, we will design and build within your budget.
Extensions/Renovations:
EF Construction can design and alter your existing home as well. If you were wondering where to start, EF Construction have a number of ideas and options for you. The decision to alter, renovate or even replace your existing home with a new home on the same site can be daunting.
The team can make the process simpler and empower you to make logical and factual decisions that will also work within your budget. So let us meet with you and discuss further the ideas and various options you may have.
Light Commercial:
EF Construction have experience in project managing light commercial projects such as Jean Jaques: a high end salon on Lambton Quay, the TSB Arena Cafe through to office fit outs and retail shop fit outs, such as 2 degrees & Stirling Sports.
Our team of industry experts and subcontractors – combined with a strong focus on health and safety, guarantees positive results for our customers.
Project Management:
EF Construction will project manage any project of any scale and expertise. We have our own sub contractors who we trust and their workmanship is to a high level of finish.
