We have worked with Farrugia design on multiple projects over 15 years. Their creative skills are unparalleled. They are solution driven yet stay true to the design specification. During 2014, Vivien and I decided to move into the top floor of a duplex in Woollahra. The building is approximately 120 years old and is very large and very solid. The apartment had not been renovated in over 30 years so did not have any contemporary design features, such as open kitchen/living areas, ensuites or modern surfaces. Extensive modification of the floor plan, ceiling levels, internal and external openings was required as well as, of course, complete re-decoration was required. Because new owners were moving into the ground floor apartment and the building has timber floors, great care had to be taken with sound-proofing the hard floors of the kitchen and dining area.

We chose Sally Farrugia on the basis of the work she had done on a friend’s home and we could not have been happier with our experience of working with her. Sally has all of the characteristics one would hope to find in a designer/decorator. She has extensive knowledge of all of the suppliers of the required materials and is relentless in finding the best quality materials for the best prices. She has the unusual combination of painstaking attention to detail and wonderfully flair in creating a beautiful mix of form, texture and colour.

Sally also brings with her a group of tradesmen (craftsmen, really) who produce work of flawless quality and who are honest and straight-forward to work with. They all have the greatest regard for Sally’s skills so are all motivated to produce first quality work for her. Perhaps most importantly, Sally was respectful of our wishes and tastes and there seemed to be no limit to the time and effort she was prepared to give in working with us. I strongly recommend Sally and would not hesitate to work with her again.

When Sally from Farrugia Design came on board we were in the midst of dealing with an unscrupulous builder. Sally quickly helped us take control of the situation and then introduced us to an honest builder that she had worked with previously that was willing to take the job on part way through. Once the situation was in control Sally then worked her magic on all the interior design and finishes. There is absolutely no way we would have finished with a fabulous, quality result if it were not for Sally.
