About Gel Architects

Gel Architects are new home, renovation and urban regeneration specialists.

We are committed to excellence in every aspect of our work, designing creative, site-specific solutions with innovative, buildable, cost-effective results.

At Gel we love architecture. We design homes and workplaces that are beautiful to look at, practical to build, and a joy to live and work in.

Sustainability is in the DNA of all our projects, with considerations such as efficient land use, using locally-sourced products, optimising solar access and reducing waste at the forefront of our thinking.

Gel Architects is an award winning NZIA (New Zealand Institute of Architects) registered practice.

Approach

At Gel Architects we create unique architectural responses to the opportunities in every project.

We are dedicated to maximising the value for every client and their project. We are skilled in unlocking hidden potential and giving our clients superior outcomes every time.

We are problem solvers, with a track record over many years of delivering successful projects. When working with Gel, you can be confident that your project is in capable and dependable hands.

A Collaborative Culture

We work collaboratively within our team, with our clients and consultants to deliver successful outcomes. We aim to ‘gel’ and form enduring relationships.

We present thought-through design concepts that will stimulate and excite clients – while also being robust enough to withstand close scrutiny from others involved in the project. Our internal working method is a large contributor to this, taking input from our entire team and the consultant team.

Capabilities

Gel Architects bring exceptional skills and experience to the field of Auckland’s urban and suburban intensification. We have the ability to conceive and execute design-led solutions that both differentiate and add value to developments. In today’s market, this is crucial for both the developer and, ultimately, the homeowner.

This begins with a clear understanding of what our clients really want.

If you’re a homeowner, you want a creative design solution that meets your needs (perhaps a solution you have not have yet considered).

Whether it’s a new home or a renovation, you want to love the project every step of the way, from the initial drawings to you moving in. You can trust us to guide you through the process, and ensure that your solution is practical and buildable – and value for money.

If you’re a developer, the ultimate goal is a profitable result. This will be done through maximising the development potential. You will appreciate the value of good design, not only in the aesthetics but also the functionality of the buildings. Our experience is that great design can result in great yields for you.
