Not only has the work been done of outstanding quality, and on budget, Glen and his team were a pleasure to work with - always efficient, tidy, pleasant and cheerful. Nothing was too much trouble, and frequent changes to the original plan did not phase them at all. Glen was always entirely cooperative and willing, even when this caused considerable difficulties on his side. Such flexibility greatly contributed to the success of the project. Our reasons for appointing Glen Cayless to construct our home in Queenstown was that he could demonstrate excellent quality from previous houses of a similar size and complexity that he had constructed, he conveyed a passion for the project and understood the vision for the house, and previous clients still had a relationship with him long after he had completed their projects. As overseas clients we also wanted a Builder who had experience working with absentee clients, could effectively project manage the build, and had excellent communication protocols. Throughout the 17 month build we were always kept up to date with progress via photographs, regular telephone calls to discuss issues and make decisions, action lists, and emails all supplemented by monthly site visits which would include meetings with key contractors and the Architect as necessary. Glen and his team were always positive throughout the project and nothing was too much trouble in sorting through options and issues as they arose. Our overwhelming view of the build was that Glen clearly understood the vision for the house and would not let anything compromise the quality of the final product. The result is a stunning house which we are proud to call our home. He has continued to help us with other small projects around the home since completion of the build.
