About us
Gubb Design is a design focused and service oriented boutique architectural practice in West Auckland; delivering quality projects throughout the greater Auckland region and other parts of the South Pacific.
We are a small, boutique design practice in West Auckland. We work with clients to create solutions that integrate seamlessly with the surrounding environment. Our mission is to develop lasting relationships with our clients and provide a rewarding experience for all involved.
In every project, we undertake to pay close attention to the brief, location, scale, sustainability and use of materials in an holistic New Zealand context. This results in an innovative architecture that reflects the desires of you, the client.
Client service is our first priority and we pride ourselves on great communication. Our guiding principle is to always understand our clients’ needs and document this in a detailed brief.
Each client is unique and deserving of an original design. Listening and fully understanding what the client wants to achieve is one of the fundamental aspects of a successful project.
We specialise in all facets of residential homes; including new builds, renovation and sub-division developments. We also have experience in commercial, educational, retail and industrial design projects. Our projects are as diverse as our clients.
Gubb Design is a Professional Member of ADNZ.
Services
We can take on as much of the project as the client wishes; from the initial design briefing, through to design, consent process, construction plans, tendering, site observation and on to completion.
We have invested heavily in systems and computer technology to ensure a high standard of service. This allows us to get more out of the information we put into the system; enabling us to develop high quality 3D model rendering, design and documentation, through to scheduling various parts of the build.
We work collaboratively with you, offering ideas and solutions to achieve your desired result. We specialise in residential new homes and alterations.
We also offer:
- Feasibility studies
- ‘Leaky home’ reclad solutions
- Retail and commercial projects
- Project observation
- Subdivision development through our partners
As costs of construction and compliance continue to rise; it has become vital for the designer and builder to work in a close relationship. Gubb Design prides itself in knowing some of the best and most respected builders in Auckland. The builders we most often deal with have in-house quantity surveyors to ensure costs are controlled.
We believe thatt the end of the journey, our well thought through design will add to the value of the project; giving a distinctive response that ultimately enhances the way you experience the space.
