At Higgs Building Co. we’re conscious of our impact on future generations. In fact, we’re revolutionising the building industry because of it.

Time living overseas taught Higgs founder, Shaun, two things that would change his approach to building forever. The first, that New Zealand homes aren’t as energy-efficient or high-performing as they should be. And the second, how important it is to keep our homeland healthy for future generations.

His solution? Starting Higgs Building Co.

As a family-run business, we want to do better by our children. Our clients and our future generations deserve homes that are dry and healthy, without a big environmental footprint.

Shaun and his team are brilliant - we're thrilled with the shed they built for us (husband's new gym!) and the renovations they've done in our home. All of their work has been such high quality (the plasterer was so impressed!), and it's a really pleasant, polite group of guys to have around - I work from home, and they were always so courteous and respectful when I was in zoom meetings or on a call. My husband works shifts and they were always very thoughtful about reaching out ahead of time to say "Hey this next bit is going to be noisy, is Stephen on nights this week?" and adjusting their schedule as required - something I didn't even think to ask for, they were just so considerate!

We're renovation newbies so it was also really helpful having Shaun guide us through options and ideas I hadn't even thought of, and he was totally respectful of our budget (and even our DIY bits - always happy to give advice and even offered to loan us tools for things we were doing ourselves - just such a nice person!).
