Husk Design + Draft Ltd is an Invercargill based, residential architectural design and drafting company providing services to clients across the lower South Island.
We have completed projects from Stewart Island through to Twizel and most areas in between. Husk was founded in 2019 by Director, Josh Scott.
Our philosophy is simple; we create unique and exceptional homes, regardless of the scope of your project. We deliver innovative and purposeful building designs that not only meet your immediate needs but also adapt seamlessly to your requirements over time. The Process
Initial Consultation
One of our Designers will meet with you to discuss your project, in order to develop a concept that fits with your way of living, your personal preferences, expectations and budget. For renovations a site visit is undertaken as part of the initial consultation.
A formal estimate will then be provided for the services required for your project. Once the estimate and terms and conditions are accepted we can commence work on your concept plan.
Your Design Concept
Your Designer will work with you to make any tweaks to refine your design in order to finalise your concept.
Pricing Plans
From your finalised concept a set of pricing plans is developed for your builder to provide an accurate figure of the proposed work to be undertaken. This ensures you are comfortable with the project costing’s before moving forward with the next step.
Working Drawings
Your designer will then complete a full set of detailed working drawings. All documentation and liaison with the council will be undertaken in order for you to obtain your issued building consent.
As required, we will work in conjunction with any consultants needed for your project, ie Structural Engineer, Effluent Designer, Geotechnical Consultants.
