Hydroproof

BUTYNOL

Butynol, a synthetic rubber membrane can be used on roofs and decks. On roofs and gutters there is an option to use 1mm or 1.5mm, but on decks only 1.5mm is used. The product is available in a few different colours, but black and grey are the most common. We also install butynol with a tiling fleece layer as a sheet membrane in showers.

SARNAFIL

Sarnafil is a PVC membrane that is used extensively worldwide. It is used on roofs, decks and planters. One of the products in the range has been specifically designed for green roofs or planters and the product is root resistant. All joints and laps are welded using hot air welding technology. Hydroproof has fully trained Sarnafil applicators, and we have all the relevant installation equipment.

TPO AND TPE MEMBRANES

These products are installed to roof and deck areas. All joints are welded with hot air technology. We have trained applicators and have completed many installations.

Hydroproof is approved applicator for most sealants available on the New Zealand market. Our main sealant suppliers are; Sika (NZ) , Holdfast, and Bostik (NZ) . We install;

• Polyurethane Sealants
• Silicon Sealants
• Modified Silicon Sealants
• Hybrid Sealants
• Acrylic Sealants
• Bitumastic Sealants
• Epoxy and Epoxy Urethane Sealants

We undertake sealants to precast panels, construction and movement joints, control joints, decorative and
colored sealant work. We install sealants in particular situations, such as jail cells, tanks etc

The torch-on membranes are applied as double-layer systems to roofs. The second layer normally has a mineral chip finish, which is generally available in a number of different colours. Alternatively, the second layer can be plain and a coating system applied.

DECK AREAS  

Similar double-layer torch-on membranes can be applied to deck areas.

PLANTERS

Double layer torch-on membrane systems are also used in planters. The second layer normally contains a root inhibitor to prevent root penetration.

UNDER-FOOTING AND UNDER SLAB AREAS

These membranes are designed specifically for this purpose as they have a product in the top surface that reacts with wet cement creating a very strong bond, and hence the entire underside of the building envelope is waterproof.

LIQUID MEMBRANES AND WATERPROOFING PRODUCTS

Liquid applied membranes include epoxys, polyurethanes, acrylics, emulsions etc

• These products are used on roofs, decks, tank linings, waterproofing of structures, bund areas etc
• We install a limited range of floor coatings for waterproofing or for wear surfaces. These include the range of MMA type resins.
• We install cementitious based products for the waterproofing of water retaining structures, basements,
• lift shafts etc.

WATERSTOPS

We also install swellable water stops for the concrete structural joints.
