The company is born out of Bren's passion for surface pattern design. Bren believes there is much joy in pattern, colour, and tactile weaves and that these details add inspiration and texture to our homes and lives. Carefully chosen design can soothe, uplift and energise.

Bren is influenced by her unique design experience. Prior to founding Ink & Brayer she worked as a pattern designer, illustrator and product designer, but earlier in her career she was a traditional Disney animator. During her time as a special effects artist she fell in love with organic forms - particularly those in nature. She continues to be captivated by beautiful illustration and pattern. She appreciates traditional artistic mediums, strong graphic shapes and striking colour. A distinctly Japanese aesthetic of simple elegance is also a recurring theme in her curations.

At Ink & Brayer the tactile quality and fine details of a product are extremely important. Great design paired with quality workmanship and materials makes Bren's heart soar, and it is this positive energy that Bren wishes to bring into the homes and interiors of her customers and clients.

Bren loves to connect with her customers, and welcomes enquiries. She can help source textiles for soft furnishings, and facilitate custom-made cushions and drapes.
