Jess Hunter Interior Design

Jess’s approach to interior design is guided by her client’s own style and ambition. She doesn’t do cookie-cutter design. Every design concept that’s delivered is a bespoke concept, based on the client’s individual brief.

Jess works with her clients in a nimble and adaptable way, designed to suit their needs. She dedicates herself to getting to know every client personally, so she can create a space that she knows they will fall in love with. Jess works on a range of projects, from single-room property styling to delivering a full interior design and project management service.

Jess studied at The Enmore Design Centre and The School of Colour & Design.

She has worked on magazine and advertising shoots, styling and assisting for publications and businesses including:

• Domayne and more.

After completing her study, it was clear to Jess that creating spaces that people simply love being in, was her calling. She established Jess Hunter Interiors in 2010 and has completed many memorable projects since then.

Step 1
Consultation + Collaboration

Every project kicks-off with a detailed consultation session. Jess uses this time to delve deep into what your interior design ambitions are, learn more about your style, functionality considerations and to understand where you are right now with your project, and what support you need.

It’s common to not be sure about what your personal style is or what interior design services you may require. That’s OK! Through the consultation process with Jess, she will work with you to make these discoveries.

You can expect to be asked questions like:

• How would you describe your personal style?
• Tell me more about your lifestyle?
• How do you want to use the space? How do you imagine living in the space?
• What structural elements need to be considered?
• What budget and timeframe are you working to?

Following the initial consultation, a Scope of Work and Estimate of Fees will be sent to you for review and approval. Of course you contact Jess with any questions as you review her proposal, she is always ready and able to help.

Step 2
Research + Design + Presentation

Once you have given your tick of approval for Jess to proceed, she will move into an intensive research and design stage. Jess will be hard at work, creating an interior design concept based on your brief.

Then to the really exciting bit; when Jess’s ideas are presented to you!

Depending on the scope of the project, a detailed presentation will be made, which may include elements such as:

• Mood & concept boards
• Floorplans
• Colour schemes
• Finishes
• References of joinery
• Cost estimates from relevant suppliers

Interior design success relies on effective client collaboration. During the presentation Jess welcomes her client’s feedback to ensure she is going to create a space to be loved.

Step 3
Details + Getting to Work

Jess doesn’t design and walk away. She oversees all elements of the projects that involve her work. As you work with your Architect, Builder or other suppliers, sometimes things need to change. Jess will work with you to ensure that all the details are just right, whether it be the finalisation of the floorplans, lighting plans or kitchen design details.

A schedule will be provided to you with all fixtures, finishes and equipment, as well as other items relevant to your project, such as furniture pieces.

You will have the opportunity to see, touch and approve all finishes and samples during the process; afterall interior design is so much about how things look and feel.

Jess and her team tap into their ‘little black bookʼ of tried and tested trades and suppliers to bring your project to life. She will work alongside you and your team and be on-site when needed to liaise directly with everyone involved in your project. Details do matter.

Step 4
Installation + The Final Touches

As the construction and building work is finalised, we manage delivery and installation of all the approved furnishings and decorative items; furniture, artwork, secondary lighting, soft furnishings and accessories. Adding the finishing touches is always a very exciting step for Jess and her clients, the space really takes space in it’s own bespoke way.

A Place to Love

A place to love, not just live or work in, is yours to enjoy!

Whatever interior design service you require, Jess is your go-to. She can work face-to-face with clients in the Southern Highlands, Sydney or Canberra, or online 1-hour consultations are available if you are located further afield.

Concept Services

Concepts are developed through client meetings, site visits, detailed research and they culminate in a presentation.

Colour Consultations

Jess can research and provide a detailed selection of internal and external paint colours and finishes, including a schedule for you to provide to your painter.

Joinery Design

A selection of all cabinet finishes and door hardware can be designed. This service is particularly popular for clients who are designing a new, custom kitchen.

Interior Walls & Floors

Jess can develop a selection of floor and wall finishes that complement each other and deliver on your interior design vision.

Modelling

3D design development and rendering of proposed concepts can be provided to help you visualise your project before you commence.

Layout

Getting the floorplan layout and spatials right is essential. Jess can work with you to design a layout that creates a space you will love being in and that functions well.

Full Design Service

When you need interior design support at every step, Jess Hunter Interiors’ can deliver. Everything from design concept, liaison with outsourced contractors such as upholsters and lighting specialists, selection of all fixtures from bathroom to kitchen and everything in between. Project management and site visits are all part of the Full Design service too.

Online Design Services

Lock-in a 1 hour Online Design Consultation with Jess via Zoom or FaceTime. She will talk you through a specific interior design problem area that you need help with. You will come away brimming with ideas to create a space you will love.

• Jess can also provide you with a shopping list, detailing suppliers that all have online stores so you can purchase items at your pace and have them delivered directly to your home.
