Land and Form

Our team at Land and Form are thrilled to announce our AILA NSW design award win for Wagga Riverside Park alongside design collaborators Urbis in the Regional Achievement awards category for Western NSW.

The Wagga Riverside Redevelopment connecting the Wagga Wagga Beach and Wiradjuri Walking Track to the broader precinct, incorporating the refurbishment of the former Wagga Wagga Caravan Park and officially opened in June 2022.

The project aims to create an attraction for residents and visitors to the region, and an ideal venue for festivals, markets and musical performances at the Wagga Beach and Murrumbidgee River Precinct. Works include upgraded fencing, lighting, walk and cycle paths, an events stage, parking, new accessible amenities, and an all-abilities playground inspired by the city’s paddle-steamer past and the old Wagga Water Whizz.

LAND & FORM.  =  NATURE & PEOPLE.

As landscape architects we aim to create places that serve the higher purpose of social and ecological justice for all peoples and all species. We look to create places that nourish our deepest needs for communion with the natural world and with one another.

We choose to be landscape architects as it enables us to bring nature and people together through a variety of curated experiences. Through this connection, we have the opportunity to contribute positively to people's happiness, well being and strengthen the appreciation of their natural environment.

LAND = NATURE

As designers of the land we are able to help restore some of this balance and re-establish natural systems for local flora and fauna to flourish and in turn, build a city’s resilience to trauma such as natural disasters, population growth & greater pollution.

FORM = PEOPLE

As designers of public space, we also have an opportunity to create everlasting and memorable places where communities can get together and share stories & experiences creating a strong series of community networks.

DISCOVER.

We begin each project by discovering something special about the site. This discovery can form the core idea & concept for the project and makes it unique & special

ENVISION.

We then take this discovery and transform it into a strong vision and concept for the project. This vision becomes the backbone and point of difference for the project

CREATE.

Our final step is to transform this vision into a high quality design outcome that carries through the original discovery and vision from start to finish
