The driving force behind MATTBUILD Group is the company directors, Matt Chapman and Matt Sweeney.

After working together early on in their respective careers throughout the Sydney area, they discovered their interest in unique challenges and architectural building projects. Project Plan

From pre-construction through to post build, our promise is to turn your vision into a reality through quality service, efficient timing, and open communication. We strive to make the building process an effortless and enjoyable experience for every client.

Pre-construction

The Preliminary stage of the process ensures we have the best foundations from the beginning.

We will provide an initial estimation based on draft construction drawings or a full tender if you have the DA/CDC approvals, Construction Drawings, Structural Drawings, Scope of Works and any other relevant Consultant Drawings. Both of these options will include an on-site meeting with one of our Directors to ensure we incorporate as much detail as possible.

Once you have decided to move forward with us, the contract will be drawn up, outlining detailed inclusions and outcomes for the project, payment schedule and any other details you wish to include. We cater to both fixed price building contracts and cost-plus contracts. It’s our job to ensure we structure in the right solution and can offer the best advice on how to ensure we can get started together the most appropriate way possible. Each project is allocated a dedicated Project Manager who will know all aspects of your property.

One of the first questions we are asked is “How long will it take?” We know that living can be difficult during pre-construction and construction phases, so we’re forthcoming with any information that will assist you and your family during our project together.

During Construction

Watch your vision develop with a clear understanding of its progress and expected results.

We guide you through the construction process. A clear vision is provided of finishes for the design, build, landscaping, facades, and internal spaces, along with detailed explanations of the methods taken.

Choices for materials and finishes are often encountered during the construction phase. While most decisions are made early in the project, we know that during the build we need to remain fluid and make decisions that determine the quality and style of the end result. All our developments are subject to schedules and product availability – it’s here that the MATTBUILD Group Project Managers are aware of these situations and it’s our duty to manage them with your interests first.

We coordinate all certification inspections required throughout the build and ensure your experience is enjoyable and stress-free. We pride ourselves on open communication, which includes regular site updates from the project manager, full transparency of schedules and on-site photos throughout. You will have access to your own project profile where all photos will be uploaded, along with a live financial summary to help you manage your finances during the build.

The MATTBUILD Group Project Plan indicates key financial dates that are important to the project. These dates are provided in advance and approved by you, to ensure you can adequately organise your financial situation. We offer the best way forward if you have any unanswered questions and provide careful study of how financing a MATTBUILD Group project functions from beginning to end.

The project will follow our closely monitored process, and by doing so allows our project managers to communicate to you clearly where the project is at and how we are meeting the milestones. We know that your living situation is time critical, and our team are aware of this.

Post Construction

Once the build is complete, we enter the aftercare phase following practical completion.

The MATTBUILD Group reputation precedes us, and our service post build is second to none. The complex nature of building bespoke homes creates unique situations with every project. It is here we ensure that communication remains open, and our service is consistent during aftercare.

Any post construction work will be managed by your dedicated Project Manager who has intimate knowledge of your build, including specific details of how it was built, and materials used. Our knowledge and close connection to your project ensures a first class and reliable service.

You will receive a detailed Handover Booklet upon completion that is customised for your property, including all required information to maintain your property to it’s highest standard. It includes a list of contacts for all trades that have been used, maintenance manuals and warranties.

Post Construction - Maintenance

We understand that not everyone has the time, patience and/or skills to allocate to the list of requirements your home has, to maintain its quality to the highest standard.

Our home maintenance services will ensure that everything is upheld to the highest quality, as they are customised to you, your house and its specific needs.

The Maintenance Plan experience begins with a free home maintenance assessment with MATTBUILD Group’s experienced Manager. This allows for us to understand your priorities for maintenance, as well as learning about any separate repair needs that might have accumulated around your home. We will also look at the many essential services that are required for every home.

After the walk through, you will receive a detailed proposal outlining the monthly price as well as a schedule of the services included. This is an opportunity to further customise your plan, adding or subtracting services as you like so that you are only paying for what you feel is a priority in keeping your house in great condition.

Once you finalise the service schedule, we present a simple contract outlining what will be included in your Maintenance Plan and the agreed-upon price. The contract can be terminated by you at any time. After signing the contract, we will decide on a standard day of the month your services will be performed. From there, all your work is done as you relax and enjoy knowing that your home is being cared for.
