About us
Mooi Design is a Christchurch, New Zealand based, interior design company.
Mooi Studio offers specialist design & consultancy services across a range of interiors disciplines, from detailed joinery designs to colour consultancy, furniture procurement finishes selections & installation.
Mooi Design has proved to be a challenging name to use in New Zealand – Kiwi’s tend to pronounce it ‘Moo-ee’ (like a cow). However, Mooi (pronounced ‘moy’) was chosen as it connects with Candice’s Dutch root & means ‘all things beautiful’ – a true reflection of how we approach design!

How can we help you with your next project...
Whether new build or existing, residential or commercial, well executed, interior design needs to seamlessly integrate into a structure for the full effect. This integration requires undivided attention to detail, and ongoing connection between the interior and architecture. With this in mind, Mooi Design prefer to connect with the client and design team early, at the project’s inception, this approach ensures attention to detail and meaningful contribution to the development of schematic plans.
Room layouts & furniture plans help to inform lighting design, integration of window treatment details such as blind pockets, bespoke joinery & the way services are conceived & positioned. With high-end properties, these details are critical to the finish of the interior & define the final look & feel of the project. Without meaningful guidance, this level of detail cannot be achieved & simple aspects such as colours or textures can let projects down. Mooi Design ensure that interior finishes harmonise with, & flow through to the architectural finishes.
Mooi Designs process of early involvement, and commitment to client service allows for a structured approach to cost management and delivery. Preparation of project scoping documents and early stage budgets ensure no surprises and the highest level of delivery.
