About us
Managing Resource Consents + Town Planning Resource Management Solutions Limited (RMS) is a resource consenting, town planning and resource management consultancy based in Auckland, New Zealand.
For over 21 years we have been obtaining resource consents for clients across a broad spectrum of development types throughout New Zealand.
We manage resource consents from project inception to successful completion with our achievements speaking for themselves — exceeding a 98% success rate since 1996 with all but a few projects consented without notification. That is an achievement that we are extremely proud of in an RMA environment filled with uncertainty and one that reflects skills and experience developed over many years. It is this expertise and experience that we offer you.
We also undertake development due diligence, and represent and advise clients on all development related RMA planning matters.

We like to take a project management role for resource consents, preferably at the start of a project. This means understanding the project and environmental issues, identifying, and briefing contributing consultants, preparing the Assessment of Environmental Effects and managing the application through Council to a successful client based conclusion.
Our approach is always outcome focused and we work closely with clients and advisors to ensure successful planning outcomes. At an early stage we like to develop a sound understanding of our clients’ interests and needs and combine this with our extensive experience and sound judgment of what will ‘fly’ and what will not to guide the development through the consenting process.
We know that fundamentally we have a good understanding of what planning, resource management and sustainability is about. That allows us to argue vehemently in support of our clients’ proposals and to consider different ways of achieving client objectives without taking our eye off the principles of sustainability. This also allows us to see opportunities, and to add value.
