Our design team boasts extensive experience in the design and construction industry and hold both Bachelors and Masters degrees in Architecture, so you can rest assured you’re in excellent hands.

Collaborating closely with our construction team from the initial stages, we ensure projects stay on budget while foreseeing cost-saving opportunities. Our close-knit team is actively involved throughout the design and construction phases, ensuring seamless communication and impeccable results. Beyond Monday to Friday, our designers share a close friendship outside of work, often camping and exploring the great outdoors together. Their love for the coast, surfing, and embracing nature's wonders further fuels their passion for crafting remarkable and seamlessly integrated spaces.

1) Initial Client Engagement

Before making any commitments, our design team will present a tailored design solution aligned with your home vision and budget. Starting with a thorough site analysis, we emphasise the significance of a unique design response that takes into account the specific characteristics of the location. After the site analysis, you will receive a schematic design showcasing hand sketches depicting site layout, program layout, and external formation.

2) Concept Design Stage

This is the preliminary design stage.

During the concept stage, we create design outcomes in response to your brief and the site analysis, ensuring an exciting and achievable proposal while aligning with your budget. We provide site plans, floor plans, elevations, concept renders, and a design philosophy to lay the foundation for the upcoming design process.

3) Design Documentation

This is the secondary design stage.

During the secondary design stage, the design team finalises construction drawings and coordinates with external contractors for town planning and engineering submissions. Clients can expect less involvement compared to the initial concept stage but will receive regular updates through fortnightly emails while the project management team prepares the construction quote.

4) Interior Selections

Towards the end of the Design Documentation stage, we will begin a personalised Interior Design process. Tailoring the selections to your style, vision, and budget, we present mood boards with materials, finishes, fittings, and fixtures, accompanied by render-realistic visuals and construction drawings. Collaborating with suppliers, we strive to achieve an exceptional Interior Selections Package that perfectly compliments your space.

5) Tender

At Sherriff Constructions we take pride in our business structure and the ability to provide our clients with a dream design and a built solution. The ability to commence accurate tendering, quoting and project management begins during the design phase to ensure our clients enjoy their building journey with us.

6) Handover

Upon completion of our design process, and the acceptance of your building contract (subject to proposal), during this stage our Design Team will present our clients to our Project and Construction Teams who you will work alongside for the Building process.

Our construction team was founded in 2005 by Ryan Sherriff, a seasoned expert with over two decades of experience in the building industry. Specialising in high-end custom homes across the Surfcoast, Bellarine, and Geelong regions, Sherriff Constructions has earned a well-deserved reputation for delivering projects with unmatched expertise, integrity, and quality.

1) Construction Welcome

After an internal handover from our Design Team you are now in the experienced hands of our Construction Team. Here your will work alongside our Builder, Project Manager and Site Supervisor. Our team will coordinate our skilled subcontractors and quality suppliers to schedule all stages of construction.

2) Build Support

Ryan Sherriff, our Director and Builder who you will also work with in the design stage, will continue to meet with you on site throughout the construction of your home. We all know that building your home can sometimes be an overwhelming experience while you juggle life. Ryan is renowned for finding the positivity in any challenge. He will always put you at ease and be there for any queries you may have. Ryan will be involved throughout the build and has a trusted construction team to also support you at each stage.

3) Project Management

Our Project Managers work in our office behind the scenes to forward plan every aspect of your build. They will be in touch with our suppliers and our subcontractors to ensure continuity of workflow whilst minimising any delays. Our Project Managers are your connection between our suppliers and subcontractors.

4) Client Walkthrough

Our Site Supervisor will coordinate and accompany you on all walk throughs on site. This is our client’s most exciting stage. There are a number of structured site inspections to ensure your involvement throughout the development of your home. Our Site Supervisor’s role is to maintain quality, continuity and safety on site always. During the walkthroughs we take specific care to ensure that the finer details are customised to you.

5) Handover

Our proudest work is handed over to you here. Handover day will occur with our Builder, Construction Team and Design Team present. Our team will ensure you understand the workings of your home and give you the keys to your future.

6) Aftercare

Following completion of the construction, Sherriff will undertake a thorough defect process to ensure your home is ready for you to move in. Following handover, our construction team will be on hand to fix warranty issues that may arise.

We offer a range of tailored interior design only packages. Our designers will curate a personalised vision for your space, encompassing aesthetics, functionality, and your unique style. We will work closely with you to create a harmonious space that reflects your individual personality and lifestyle.

3D Visualisations

We offer a range of 3D visualisation packages. These packages allow you to see your space in a lifelike way, eliminating the need to decipher complex 2D plans. They're ideal for anyone with existing plans, those who want to preview their ideas before starting the planning process, and professionals like builders and draftsmen looking to provide clients with a clear picture of the space before building begins

Conceptual Design

We offer conceptual design drawing packages. Our skilled designers will collaborate with you to craft visionary concepts that capture your aspirations and project goals. These packages are tailored for those seeking a foundational blueprint to guide their project's aesthetic and functional direction.

Build Only

We offer build only packages for clients who have had their drawings done by an external registered Architect, Building Designer or Draftsperson. Our experienced team of builders is dedicated to bringing your project to life, ensuring meticulous craftsmanship and seamless execution. Whether you have existing plans or require some professional guidance, our build-only packages cater to your construction needs, delivering a finished product that exceeds expectations.
