Sky Architect Studio

OUR STORY

The company was named after the founder and director – Sky Tiong. He started Architecture practice humbly from a home-based office in Torquay. The location proximity has granted Sky Architect Studio bountiful opportunities in designing Beach Houses along the Great Ocean Road all the way up to the famous Twelve Apostles. With the consistency of our aspiration towards architecture design throughout the years, our team was inspired to work at our excellence to creating unique Architecture throughout Melbourne, particularly incorporating Modern Architecture style with extensive use of our favourite timber cladding and full-height windows.

OUR PRACTICE

Since the establishment of Sky Architect Studio in 2008, our passion for modern architecture has driven the company to creation of extensive projects from contemporary beach homes, to multi-unit residential such as SDA homes, student accommodation, and townhouses designs.

MODERN ARCHITECTURE

Sky Architect Studio values individuality, hence, we recognize your needs diligently and customize an architectural design to the creation of your unique home. We are experts in Modern Architectural design. It gives way to a clean aesthetic where materials meet in simple, well-executed joints. Rectangular forms and horizontal lines with well-defined elements juxtaposed against vertical lines to form the linked-boxy shapes creating a dramatic effect. One of our projects “Wyndham Beach House” effectively symbolized this Modern Architecture and unique form concept while not sacrificing local municipal requirements. Our Windows are no longer portholes to the outside, but large expanses of floor-to-ceiling double-glazed glass. With the generous use of glass and natural light, it provides dramatic views and introduces natural light deep into the interior of homes.

QUALITY CONSISTENCY

Sky Architect Studio maintains the highest quality through consistency in project management. We emphasize attention to detail. All elements and measurements are to be designed to the exact accuracy. We deliver every detail to its perfection with the right material selection into our Architecture drawing and Specification. And through the involvement in a project from the initial design right up to the post-project delivery, which in turn develops homes and buildings to its finest touch. Our quality consistency remains true from large development projects through to small residential renovations.

OUR COMMITMENT

We are committed to upholding our most cherished values in every project and task we take on. We value your unique preference and we strive to add value to the creation of your dream home.

SUSTAINABILITY

Decisions made at the outset of the project often have the greatest influence on the success or otherwise of creating a sustainable outcome. While the sitting of a building and the specifications of the materials used in a project are important, truly sustainable buildings engage with their occupants to collectively achieve sustainable outcomes.
