About

Southern Waterscapes Ltd is Canterbury's specialist water feature builder, designing and constructing custom eco-system ponds and pondless waterfalls across Selwyn, Christchurch and greater Canterbury.

Founded by Matt White — New Zealand's only Aquascape Certified Contractor — every build uses Aquascape's globally proven ecosystem technology to create natural, low-maintenance water features that thrive in Canterbury conditions.

We specialise in two types of water features. Eco-system ponds are self-sustaining, chemical-free garden ecosystems that support fish, plants and local wildlife. Pondless waterfalls deliver the sound and movement of flowing water without an open pond — family-safe, low-maintenance, and suited to any size garden.

Every feature includes a Firestone EPDM lifetime liner guarantee, Aquascape pump and filtration systems, LED lighting, auto-fill valve, and auto-dosing system. All labour is carried out by a professional two-person crew.
