Stacey Gillies is a Auckland interior designer, writer, and former fashion stylist.  Stacey brings an international design sensibility to her Auckland interior design projects through beautiful materials, quality finishes and painterly colour palettes. 

Her expressive spaces extend beyond mere decoration; they capture the clients’ unique identity translating this into a physical form.

With over 10 years experience working in creative and business roles, I provide client's with peace of mind in the sound project management of their project.

Based in Birkenhead, North Shore, I love to focus my time working with only a handful of clients to offer a truly dedicated experience.

Full Interior Design Service

This service is for the busy professional who would like me to manage the process from start to finish, taking care of all the parts of the process. Suitable for new builds, significant renovation projects, or those requiring complete furnishing of a new or second home.

A robust process will be followed to achieve the creative vision for your home. Upon agreement of the proposal, we follow a step by step plan engaging trades and suppliers, research, specify and source all items needed, arrange purchasing, installation and styling. Collaborating with you (your architect/trades) throughout the journey.  

What you will receive:

Design Concept 

• Research, visiting showrooms, meeting suppliers 
• Sourcing samples
• Room/s measure
• Floor plan/s
• 3D Visual
• Lighting plan
• Concept Design (Visual presentation of look and feel of space)
• Product Schedule (list) of materials, finishes, furniture, flooring, colours, textiles.
• Specification of window treatments
• Presentation of design concept
  

Procurement

• Managing all trade orders, coordinating invoices, delivery & installation.
  

Project Management/Implementation

• Project management of third party suppliers (i.e. bespoke furniture, upholstery, soft furnishings, curtain makers
• Managing budget and project timeline
• Manage any deficiencies
• Styling the completed spaces/s

I work on projects in the Queenstown/Arrowtown region, with 100% of the design being completed remotely from my base in Auckland.  

Taking care to provide regular communication throughtout the journey, I can work with you to design and decorate your home alongside your builder and other trades to produce a beautiful result.

Born and bred in the deep South I have a great understanding of the Central Otago region with a range of suppliers who can be brought in as required.

If you are looking for practical guidance on your interior design or decorating project, this expert brainstorming session is for you.

Move forward in defining and implementing the vision for your home before your build takes place.

Start preparing a list of things you would like to address during the session. I will help you sort through the details so you can begin your design project with clear goals in mind.

I will bring samples for you to see and feel and discuss how to put together finishes such as bench tops, backsplash, tiles, tapware and fabrics. We can look at spatial design considerations - furniture layout, window treatments and lighting ideas.

We can review any initial drawings and look at ways to create a functional space to suit your needs.

Ideas will be provided back in the session and may include ideas for furniture, fabrics, flooring, paint colours alongside a basic floor plans/ sketches.
