Studio Amble
Interior Designers
About us
Creating transformative, mood-affirming interiors – homes, hospitality and all spaces in between – is a design journey of discovery, creativity and partnership.
The Studio Amble ethos is grounded in the connection between designer and client. Intentionally running very few projects at once, we can work closely together at a smooth, comfortable pace to create captivating design.
Keeping the process – we call it the amble – calm and relaxed, yet purposeful and focused, we seek to find the right avenues for personality, imagination and craftsmanship to come to life.
Studio Amble takes a deeply considered approach
to producing beautiful, refined spaces. To highlight architecture’s emotive and atmospheric qualities, we communicate only what needs to be said – through quietly animated ambience, tactile materials and artefacts of value. In every project, we pursue uniquely designed elements, striving to craft unexpected moments that delight.
Our Team
CHARLOTTE WEATHERLEY
Director
Led by Charlotte Weatherly (Bachelor Design, Interior Design RMIT), Studio Amble is a deliberately small scale, Melbourne-based design studio producing projects grounded in beauty and resolve. Channeling design as a metric for liveability has shaped experiential spaces layered in intention, narrative and aesthetic modernity, spaces that foster ritual and make room for memory-making.
“I’m intrinsically drawn to places that elicit more than visual beauty to feel captivating. I think we all are and discovering and anticipating what that means to each of my clients is my passion.”
"I spent a decade under the mentorship of seminal Australian designers— Mim Design, Golden, SJB— working across residential, multi-res, commercial, hospitality and wellness projects of every scale so when it came time to find a way to weave design around each facet of my life — mother, wife, aesthete — I was able to draw on a diverse catalogue of experiences whittling them down to reveal a methodology for my own practice, my own amble.”
“Today, every Studio Amble project is informed by my experiences both personal and professional, unified by the richness this combination brings and by the distinctly human-scale of my work. The connecting thread that binds designer and client is also evident within every outcome with each design gesture circling back to the original intention to instil narrative, modernity, ritual and memory-making, leveraging the emotional capacity of design to support and elevate contemporary living.”
