About us
Tallira began with handcrafted rugs and a belief in the power of texture within a space.
Over time, this focus has expanded into a broader language of interiors, where rugs and furniture shape atmosphere, softness and balance.
Formerly The Rug Collection, Tallira sits within a considered world of rugs and furniture, grounded in materiality, intention and form. Designed for interiors that are lived in, not staged.
Our collections are defined by natural tactility and enduring craft. New Zealand wool, pure wool blends, bamboo silk, timber and upholstered textiles come together in pieces made for how you live.
Alongside our own collections, we are the exclusive Australian distributor of European furniture house, Paul Rogers. This partnership brings contemporary European craftsmanship into dialogue with our own design direction.
From woven surfaces to sculptural furniture forms, Tallira brings depth, warmth and quiet structure to residential and commercial spaces.
We hold stock in our Melbourne warehouse for immediate availability, alongside custom rug making tailored to project needs.

Lived-in. Layered. Luxury.
Handmade Rug Collections
Each rug is uniquely designed in Australia and handmade by artisans in India, using age-old techniques.
Our team work closely with experienced crafters who have been dying yarns, and expertly weaving handmade rugs for generations.
Regular visits to production houses ensure products are made ethically and with integrity. Quality materials from renowned NZ Wool and luxury artsilk, through to quality wool blends and natural jute, are used to weave and bring the designs and textures to life. Not one rug is exactly the same and carries its own distinct handmade characteristic.
In addition, we offer a Custom Rug Service for you to UNROLL YOUR CREATIVITY and create the rug of your choice. Select a stocked rug design and pick-your-own colours from our palette of tufts or design your very own. Both residential and commercial grade rug quality options are available.
