Established in 2020 by Greg Davies, The Engineering Collective is a structural engineering consultancy based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Since its inception, TEC has achieved sustainable growth and now operates across multiple global regions, providing cost-effective bespoke design solutions. TEC leverages strategic relationships with innovative product and construction partners to collaboratively deliver a client’s vision – in NZ, the Pacific and beyond.
TEC works on a diverse range of niche projects in various sectors, from foundations and retaining walls, stone facades and seismic restraints to residential new-builds and extensions, commercial developments and light industrial structures.

Stone Facades
We offer structural design services for the support systems of stone façades.
Seismic Restraints
Our team designs seismic restraints for non-structural elements, including suspended building services, floor-mounted plant and equipment, ceilings, and internal partitions. We collaborate closely with building services engineers and design-and-build contractors.
Seismic Assessment | Strengthening
Our seismic assessment and strengthening expertise encompasses triage reviews of multiple properties within a client’s portfolio, initial and detailed assessments of various building types and sizes, and the design of seismic strengthening solutions to enhance buildings’ seismic capacity to meet regulatory requirements.
Innovative Foundations | Retaining Walls
We partner with Wildboar Footings and Surefoot Australia to design foundations and retaining walls, leveraging innovative Surefoot piles for a diverse range of projects and structures.
Residential | Commercial | Industrial
Our team has extensive experience in providing responsive structural engineering advice, design, and construction monitoring services for building structures across various sectors, from small additions and alterations to large new build projects.
