TVS Architects

The history of TVS, after having started as Prangley & Crofts, has been bold. The firm’s contribution to the built environment of Brisbane, Australia and overseas is remarkable. There has been no limitation to application. The firm designs all scales across a range of sectors including residential, aged care and retirement living, hotels and tourism, commercial, sporting facilities, education, industrial and medical/health facilities.

Brisbane’s first high-rise building, Pearl Assurance House, was a triumph in shifting people’s thinking about what was possible. It was the first building approved to be higher than the town hall. There was a height restriction of 132 feet, so the construction of Pearl Assurance House set a new benchmark for a higher skyline in Brisbane at 17 stories, in the mid-1960’s.

TVS Architects are now celebrating 75 years of architectural practice and remain passionate about the built environment as we continue designing places that create meaningful experiences for the people that inhabit them.
