Design

Design is the foundation of a well executed landscape transformation and our skilled design team, headed by head landscaper Luke, are passionate about making your vision a reality. Using a suite of computer graphic design tools, we will generate a comprehensive and detailed model of your property that can be tailored to suit anything you can dream of.  

We are based in Cambridge, Waikato, but our Design team can do designs Nationally.

We have a skilled team on board who work together to provide you with the best possible results. Great gardens don't just happen; they're the results of careful planning and observation.

Basic Concept Plan

This package includes:

• This plan is ideal for a specific area of your garden example.
• This plan includes 1 Consult, excluding quote.
• This includes a PDF Copy of the plan and A3 laminated plan designs for you to keep.

Concept Design

This package includes:

• A plan view of your entire property or large sections (minus details - such as plant names, precise measurements, etc)
• Two renderings of the design areas
• Two consultations during the design process
• PDF Copy of the plan and A3 laminated plan designs for you to keep.

Complete Design

This package includes:

• A detailed plan view of your entire property or large sections of your property.
• Detailed A3 colour print renderings of various spaces and key features around the design
• Plant Imagery
• Dimension plan
• 3D rendering of the entire design/property.
• Virtual geo location of property to provide accurate shadow studies to ensure plants/decks/pools are appropriately positioned
• 2 consultations during the design process
• 1 final consultation at our studio for a virtual walkthrough of the detailed 3D rendering of your design up on the big TV screen

Planting Plan

• This plan can be added to any of our other Design plans
• Included in this plan is full Plant placement, plant quantities, Plant details and plant images.
• If requested, this is also a good time to incorporate a basic lighting or irrigation plan.
• Allowance for 1 set of changes to the design.

Pergolas

Pergolas serve a practical purpose, to provide shelter from the elements while you enjoy your lovingly crafted outdoor space. But in no way, and this comes to all that we do, will we spare flair for functionality. At Visionscapes we create striking, unique and lofty pergolas to draw out the essence of your yard.

Patios

Any outdoor area should be designed with the rest of your home in mind, what are the colours? The materials? What features already exist? Where does the sun rise and set? Which trees and plants grow nearby?
We integrate the answers to all these questions and more, along with your vision, to create patios to be admired by your friends and family... and for your neighbours to be envious of!

Louvres

Through a partnership with lifestyle louvres, we now supply and install these fantastic systems to add functionality and flair to your outdoor spaces.
Coming in black or white, manual or automatic, and in a variety of sizes too, these louvre systems are affordable, easy to operate, stylish and made from durable and long lasting aluminium alloys.

Decking

A staple of a dream home, decks come in all shapes and sizes and in a variety of timber and colours.
Choosing which style of deck best suits your home and needs can sometimes be a daunting task, do you want kwila or macrocarpa? Do you need handrails? Do you need extra storage space?

Planter Boxes

Whether using raised garden beds to grow some seasonal veggies or to attract bees with a rich and colourful array of flowers, the aesthetic of your yard should not be sacrificed. After all, there's no reason to not have the garden beds reflect the specific flair of your landscape, to have them highlight that which makes your garden unique.

Fencing

Hedge, fence or wall? Its a hard question and will ultimately come down to what is best suited to blend with the rest of your yard, what sort of neighbourhood you're in and how much space you have to work with, as well as your own personal preference of course.

Screening

Fences need not always be on the boundary of your property and are an effective way to partition your space or provide more privacy in some areas.

Lawns

We have a number of options when it comes to installing lawns on your property.  Larger jobs will have to be deferred to specialists such as Lawn and Turf, but small sections around the property are no problem for the team.

Luke Eason our Project manager is third generation landscaper with over 17 years landscaping experience under his belt. Luke is a successful photographer and his creative flare flows through in all the designs. He has an eye for detail and no corner is left unturned.

We pride ourselves in getting involved in the community and are keen to help. With 3 senior Landscapers, and the rest of our team in their apprenticeship phase, we have a truck load experience and passion to make sure all the customers are happy.

The design process consists of several stages and will usually take 3 weeks from quote acceptance to final plan delivery.

Initial meeting - 1 hour free on-site consultation - no obligation.

• The objective here is to listen to your, our valued client, requirements, assess the project site and understand the scope of the project for estimation purposes. Also to ascertain which plan option (as detailed) is best suited to the project.
• Take photos.

Provide a quote for your design work.

Following quote acceptance - planning.

• Finalise the client brief
• Conduct site analysis and measure up
• Drone flyover of property if required
• Obtain any other relevant information (such as covenants, builders plans, drainage plans etc.).

Prepare initial concept design in draft form which will be emailed to you for inspection, we will schedule the first consult/meeting at this time.

Consultation 1

• Changes and ideas discussed at first consult will be drawn up

Consultation 2

• This will generally take place at our studio so we can show you through your design on the big screen. Any further tweaks/changes will be made here

Final renderings and plans will be processed

Final designs are printed and delivered to client

What we require from you:
- Your house plans if available - ideally in PDF
- Photos or ideas that you might like - Pinterest etc
- Any favourite plants or items you want to include in your garden
