Walless Architecture

Every project is unique.

Each of our project's concepts is site-specific and responds to your unique personalities and cultural identities. Embracing the beauty of natural imperfections, we create unique spaces that adopt new personalities with seasonal changes.

.

We celebrate family and harmony.

We aspire to create homes that facilitate harmony within a family. Our designs promote functional and healthy spaces that uplift your family's emotional value and well-being.

.

Sustainable, responsible architecture.

We design spatial experiences that bond nature and people. The places we create shall coexist with nature and respect the environments in which they sit.

Our architectural philosophy is rooted in the concept of 'wall-less'. It's not just about removing physical barriers; instead, it's a profound reimagining of the spaces in between. We see these transitional elements or spaces not as mere boundaries to be diminished but as opportunities for connection and unity.

Our work fosters places that are both meaningful and emotive, nurturing harmonious relationships between spaces while blurring the lines between inside and outside, the man-made and nature, and, most importantly, between people, cultivating stronger bonds within families and communities.

We are committed to promoting the seamless fusion of form and function, instilling vitality into the spaces where life's most essential and meaningful connections are forged, and enhancing the residents' overall well-being.

He is not your typical architect, but a creative collaborator on a mission, driven by a profound passion for innovative solutions and architectural excellence. Before establishing Walless, Ryan was a Design Manager at one of Sydney's leading sustainable architectural practices, achieving a remarkable 100% development approval record. His portfolio includes highly acclaimed and internationally recognised residential projects such as Totoro House and Living Screen House.

Ryan's journey is a fusion of cultures. Born in Malaysia and shaped by Australian and Japanese sensibilities, his work bears this unique multicultural perspective, appealing both locally and globally.

As a father of two young children, Ryan deeply understands the value of family and the importance of spaces that promote well-being. His dedication lies in crafting enduring family homes that elevate the quality of life. His architectural style is also infused with his love for nature. He draws inspiration from the natural world, often embracing the concept of Wabi-Sabi, the beauty of imperfection found in nature.

Ryan’s approach is about making an impact, working as a creative problem solver and an empathetic listener, ensuring a seamless journey from idea to completion.
