We engaged Chris to design a custom home to suit a long list of requirements, suit our current and future needs as our young family grows over the years.
In our first meeting, Chris took the time to get to know us, what styles we liked, what we wanted in a home, how we lived as a family, how we wanted to live, any changes to our lifestyle that we needed to consider. Questions that we hadn't been asked before when we were dealing with project home builders.
We had list o f requirements which included making use of the large block, large open plan living that flowed to the outdoor area, parents wing, the list goes on.
after the initial meeting we were provided with a concept drawing, and surprisingly Chris nailed the brief pretty much on the 1st version. We did complete changes along the process, however these were minor and cosmetic changes. As part of Chris's service, we were provided with a 3D walkthrough, which really helped us visualize the home and walk through each room and get a sense of the space. we would highly recommend this feature. Chris supported us throughout the building process, including selections in our prestart such as brick selection, mortar colours, and provided additional renderings post our prestart selections to help us visualise our home. We stayed true to the design and aesthetic of the home that Chris designed. The facade and how the house flows for everyday living as well as entertaining are my favourite elements of the house design. We would highly recommend Chris to design your home.

While we had a good idea of what we wanted in our new home, we were starting with a blank canvas and found the process daunting and a bit overwhelming. Chris was able to streamline our thoughts together with some innovative ideas of his own to create a free flowing, energy efficient home styled perfectly to our needs. Following a year of intensive research and touring of display homes, designs and building products, I was recommended to Chris White through my New Home Building Broker.At the time I was overwhelmed at the sheer amount of information out there and unclear of the quality and value for money of the display homes I was viewing. We appointed Chris to draw up a new home design for us. We found that he undertook the work in a very professional and timely manner and dealt with any queries and amendments we had very quickly. The drawings he produced were of an excellent quality and the concept design for the exterior look of the house was amazing. I was looking for a designer for my two storey home and signed up with Chris about a couple of months ago. Chris did listen to my requirements patiently and after a design brief and a couple of hand drawn sketches, Chris has come up with a design exactly how I wanted it to be. Our awesome builder "Westview Builders" engaged "White on White Designs" (Chris White) for the architectural design of our future home. From the first time I spoke with Chris on the phone and even more so once sitting down discussing our dream home, he earnt our trust. Chris took down notes and asked questions that no other builder or designer has ever asked us. e.g. “Do you guys have any pets?” And we do, so the question was to cater and think about the house for owners but also their fur children. Chris has really good people skills, we could relate to him and were on the same wavelength throughout the whole process. He listened to what we were thinking of doing for our home and when we asked for his advice and opinion, he explained his point of view with pros and cons so we could make the best-informed decision. When Chris emailed the first preliminary design drawings to us, they were amazing!! 

There were photos (3D views) of what the different elevations would look like, and it was breathtaking and also a very good way to make us understand and see what the build is going to look like. Chris hit the nail on the head straight away on the design and it was what we had visualised. Chris is approachable, very knowledgeable, very passionate about his work, down to earth, and a lovely guy at heart. We hit speed bumps along the way with the bank and approvals and his understanding and very supportive emails meant a lot.
