The Team

Michael Wyatt

Michael has been practicing architecture in Queenstown for forty years plus. Its the passion for the job that gets him up in the morning. His other passions are classic Italian cars, motor cycles and drawing and painting.

Neil Slater

Neil has worked extensively in United Kingdom, Australia, Bermuda & New Zealand. Neil moved to Queenstown in 2006 and when he is not in the office enjoys snowboarding, surfing, motorbiking, and most sports.

Matthew Barton

Matthew grew up in Dunedin and at high school his passion for technical drawings led him to study Architectural Draughting at Otago Polytechnic. After graduating in 2002 he moved to Queenstown to work for Michael where until present day has worked on a wide variety of projects. Matthew enjoys mountain biking in his spare time as well as building and flying model aircraft.

Russell Lewis

Russell has lived in NZ since 2007, working in Auckland, Nelson and Queenstown on a wide variety of residential and commercial projects. He is a firm believer in the need to upgrade NZ’s cold housing stock and to raise the minimum thermal performance in the NZ Building Code. Much of the last five years has been spent working on a series of high-performing warm, airtight & comfortable homes across the district.

Matthew Barnett

Matt graduated with a NDAT in 2006 and worked for a Dunedin architecture practice until 2011, when he moved back to Queenstown, his hometown, to work for Michael Wyatt. Matt has worked on a range of residential and commercial projects, and particularly likes detailing and 3D work. Outside of work, he enjoys being on the lake or up the mountain.

Chris Holden

Chris joined Mark Gray in July of 2016. Goals include mastering Archicad and striving to keep BIM alive. He has a keen interest in paragliding and has passion for the outdoors, loving the freedom of the hills
