Natural and serene, this kitchen embraces soft tones and natural light. Located in the central Auckland suburb of Point Chevalier, sits this lovingly restored and charming 1920s villa. When designing this space, the main focus was to create a kitchen that felt contemporary but also sat effortlessly within this heritage home. In contrast to the traditional shaker style cabinetry, you’ll find subtle oak veneer details which frame the tall cabinetry. In combination with the impressive, sloped ceiling, this almost makes the tall cabinetry feel like a piece of bespoke furniture. The effect is enhanced by the use of integrated appliances. These make the space feel more seamless and don’t disrupt the flow of the cabinetry. Movement is introduced into the space through the fluid veining in the natural marble benchtop. The marble really adds softness and offsets the linear cabinetry details.
It all started with humble beginnings in a small Buckland shed in 2005, but very quickly the one-man-band began to grow. Our approachability, friendliness and attention to detail are the fundamentals we continue to strive for so that our clients truly feel they have had a unique and enjoyable experience.
